In many cases, the footage captures a stressful or chaotic moment without showing the full context. When viewers see a baby monkey struggling near water, it can look like neglect or cruelty. However, animal behavior is complex, and short clips do not always explain what truly happened before or after the camera started recording.
In real life, mother monkeys are usually very protective and attentive. Among species like macaques, mothers carry their infants closely, groom them, and respond quickly to distress calls. Young monkeys are naturally curious and may wander or explore water without understanding the danger.
